Where are you?

Postby count1man on Thu Nov 29, 2007 10:46 am

I've noticed the lack of traffic and postings here in the last few weeks. Where is everybody? Are we all caught up in the Christmas season? Do we not have time to check in and let everyone know you're still here?

Just asking :?:

Sorry about that, I've had a test every class period for the last 3 weeks and work always gets really busy this time of year. I expect that I can be more active now, but that I will be back basically every day come January. As for everyone else, If I remember right this is the same time of year that the board died last year, I think it has something to do with the fact that most of the members are High School and College students and this time of year is really hectic for them.

:? OK, it's been almost two month and very little activity. Is anyone still here? Have we all lost interest. I find it difficult to respond to my posting. We really need to get this thing active again and with a little luck growing. :D

I'm attempting to locate some interest (and also continuing to grow the Wiki). You may have also noticed the new themed emoticons (which I am also still adding).

The problem with getting new people is that we need a fairly large influx at one time because if just one joins and they have no one to discuss with they will leave. I think I may have found a group that may have some interest in it, but so far not having much luck. I think one of our main problems is the demographic of most of our members. We seem to lose them in October-November every year and never get them back. I have noticed that our old forum (invisionplus one) is starting to get a lot of people (or bots, not sure which) attempting to join (roughly 8-10 a day). Again, I'm not sure how many of them are actually bots and not real people. If anyone has suggestions I'm more than eager to hear them.

I am here again LOL - did a bit of reading up is all. ;-)
Yes - I see you are enjoying winter also! LOL
Yeah - I've decided not to try to visit all my forums I belong to often.
Just too much to do.
I'll stop in now on my forum roster just occasionally when I get the time.
I was feeling so guilty when I wasn't visiting my forum "route" but why should I??? ;-)
I enjoy all the forums (Yours & most of them anyway) but it is just too much pressure to think to myself that I "should" be visiting all of them daily or often.
No - I think once a week or so is often enough for most of my forums I belong to.
I'll be back here of course, as often as I can!
See you then!

Likewise....I think that I might know what a S.A.T. is; but what has that got to do with riding bucking broncos in an arena?

Do try and realise that not everyone on the W.W.W. understands your Yankee Educational system. (Do you have to learn how to lassoo cows to get into College? (LOL))

Not entirely sure, but from the posts I have read I don't think that SizarieldoR is from the U.S. (and from what I can tell, probably would be more familiar with the Russian educational system than the U.S. educational system).

Sloan...you're exactly right, SizarieldoR isn't from the U.S. Also, I'm sure SizarieldoR would not mind clarifying what he ment once he has time to reply. By the way, I have lassooed a cow before, it's hard, challenging and not many people can do it.
