Many people in this country just dont seem to understand that when you sign that piece of paper, you are signing your life to the U.S. Government for a period of time. I was not able to join the armed forces so I dont know all the details, but when you sign that paper, it should almost mean that you will do anything for your country for as long as you are alive on this planet. That is the reaction I have gotten out of retired military people. So what if you had a bad experience in the military? You should be honored that you got defend the ones you loved and the freedoms they charish and abuse on a day to day basis. My uncle was a Vietnam veteran, he despises the support he received from that war, and he does not agree with this present administration in the white house at all. He has said that he hates Bush's guts.....BUT.....he would still get up and take a bullet for him because the President protects our freedom to say what we think about him. My uncle is almost 60 years old and still receiving money from his services to this great country. Of course a movie is going to be made about some guys determination to withdraw from the Army. That is what your typical libral Hollywood millionaire is going to do...all in an effort to rally up enough support to over-throw the Republican party from Washington (*laughs*), I almost thought it was going to be a movie directed by Michael Moore. But isnt that what that soldier signed up for? To defend that directors right? And to defend his right to speak out against the Army? Democracy is a catch 22...but I love it!
I apologize for any offense what so ever for my comments.
