Stop loss = Back door draft?

With the new movie, I was curious as to how folks in this group felt about this issue.

That movie is about some soldier who did his 4 years and didn’t understand that in his contract it specifically says they Army gets you for 8 if they want you! I saw the guy on tv the other day that the movie is about and I wanted to smack him. Maybe if he stopped eating the donuts long enough he could have actually read the contract before he signed it. The worst thing is that all civilians will watch this movie and think that the Army actually keeps you past your contract. It makes the Army look bad. Anything for money, though. Since the war is such a no-no with the liberals right now, they are eating this up.

I guess I'm living a sheltered life. I have no idea what movie you are talking about. So I'm afraid to comment. Be having been in the administrative field (finance) I am familiar with military contract obligations, and even stop gap. I reserve my comments until I know more about the movie. :?

What do you expect from a movie produced by MTV and brought to you by Rolling Stone Magazine?
