Rumours

Postby Hobilar on Sat May 02, 2009 4:05 am

I was wondering if we still need to retain that section of the forum given over to rumours. It is not widely utilised, and to be honest I would much prefer to see the forum used for topics that can actually be supported by published evidence rather than suppositions, maybes and what-ifs. In addition I would suggest that having a section given over to rumours and conspiracies to be somewhat childish and provides nothing to encourage the sound sharing of factual information.

Perhaps it is time to reconsider whether this section is still necessary. Your opinions welcome.

I say we keep it. There will always be "rumors" of future equipment, and if there isn't a place for them, they will be intermixed in with the rest of the posts. At least if they are in one place, people, like yourself, who don't like them, know where not to go. There are rules set up for what should and should not be posted there, and some of the posts actually do have "research and evidence".
"Superior training and superior weaponry have, when taken together, a geometric effect on overall military strength. Well-trained, well-equipped troops can stand up to many more times their lesser brethren than linear arithmetic would seem to indicate."
