Paint?

Postby KnightTemplar on Fri May 09, 2008 9:25 pm

I am painting some model soldiers (1/72) but i don't know which color. these troops are modern era army and I've tried every color and mix i know. I've tried flat green, olive drab and flat green, green, and just about everything and they just don't look 'right'. The digital camo is hard to duplicate at that scale.

I can imagine it would be.

The constant nightmare of anyone who has ever tried there hand at Miniature Wargaming. I have never found a good Olive-Drab paint that looks good at this scale (just like I have never found a Khaki that is right for late 19th century British Colonial wars).

After years of futile trying I have finally come to the conclusion that it is not worth bothering to get your figurines looking really authentic and that the only answer is to spray paint one lot of soldiers bright blue overall and the opposing lot bright red overall. (after all it is the tactics thay are really important not the appearance).

Anyone agree?
