Military Voting

Military Voting

The lawsuit asks a federal judge to order the State Board of Elections to count any overseas absentee ballots sent by November 4 and received by local election officials as late as November 14.

McCain claims the rights of military voters are protected by the federal Uniform and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Rights Act of 1986.

The campaign's complaint says that Virginia military voters posted overseas who support the Republican nominee will be denied their right to vote unless the court grants the order.

Though I don't think it really matters since Military ballots aren't even counted unless it is deemed that they might make a difference. (Which I personally think is despicable)

Yes, it is despicable. That court better grant the order, because every vote counts...and those coming in should be counted until the dates at which they should be counted until are reached. If not...the election was RIGGED!

Even if the court order passes, they are only counted if the rest of the military votes are counted. Personally, I think if you are laying your life on the line for your country every day, your votes should be the first ones counted, not held and only counted if the election is close.

Yeah...trying telling that to people who are about to the win the election and don't want those votes to be counted because they know who the military is voting for overseas...

Well... Maybe we could talk to them on TV, and let the world know how they feel about the military.

All you have to do is send a soldier a letter...have him write back to you on how he or she feels about this whole deal, then send copies to the Media Monsters.

Those media monsters that make all the decisions for the U.S. like being in Iraq is bad, Afghanistan is being lost, Obama is God, ect? Do you really think they would care?

You feed it to them long enough and they will care, if you tackle it in the right way so it would end up working against them in the end if they didn't take notice to it then it would get out.

"The McCain-Palin campaign believes without exception that the servicemen and women on the front line protecting our freedoms deserve every opportunity to make sure their vote counts," Gitcho stated.

There are about 1.3 million active US service members eligible to cast absentee ballots, according to Press TV.

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Virginia State Board of Electionscould not comment on the lawsuit.
