Information on the progress of Military Power

Member/Visitor Map

Postby KnightTemplar on Thu Mar 20, 2008 9:12 pm

I've added a world map that will allow visitors and members to place a point on the map at their location so we can see where members and visitors are viewing from. I have set it so that it doesn't automatically place one for everyone to protect those who would rather not have people know their location for whatever reason. I do ask that if you do feel comfortable doing so, that you do add a dot. I also ask that members use their username if they place one. Also, you can change the name on the pin later if you need to (for instance if you are a visitor when you place it and later join).

Please let me know what you think of this addition.

I like this new map system, because you don't have to place any info if you don't feel like it. The thing I don't like is how close they all are to each other. You can't really differentiate between the ones in the US (Me, KnightTemplar, Count1man, and Goliath) we all look like one blob.

I agree with CCM about liking that you can remain anonymous if you want, however, you can zoom (not sure if you knew that) so I don't really see any problems with it.
